7/9/11 – Saturday woke up and headed to my Lasik consultation. Went well and going to get the surgery on 7/29/11 with Dr. Berg – the same dr that did KB abd Stac’s lasik.  After the consultation Ona and I headed to the Magcase house and had Longanisa for breakfast so good!  Ty and I went to Floyds Barbershop.  Ty got lined up and I got a haircut.

On our way back we saw the Kogi truck so i busted a donut and stopped to let Ty try em.  he had never tried them before so I got him one of each.  He liked them.  After that we went back tot he house and realized we were headed out to Philippe’s in downtown LA for French Dips!  Oh shat! Ty and I were like let’s split one.  The boys were still hungry (WTF right? LOL) so right after we went  to Manuel’s Original El Tepeyac for their famous burritos.  Dude both Philippe’s and El Tepeyac were featured on Man vs. Food.  crazy.  I didn’t get anything at the Mexican place I was so stuffed.

On our way back home from El Tepeyac I got a call from Petsmart.  Nugget got in a fight and had to go to the vet for 4 stitches.  This is what i saw when i picked him up.

7/10/11 – Went to church. Got a replacement dining table which is going to get delivered tomorrow.  I’m so excited!  its a high top table with stools and a lazy susan in the middle kinda like a wiki wiki DJ 1-2-3. lol. Also went shopping at the mall.  Tried to get stuff for SD but no real luck. Stac / KB / J / Drew stopped by after their dinner with the Sze Fam.  Stac and I worked out for 30 minutes yesterday!  I was so glad they came over b/c its always nice to have a workout buddy!  We watched keeping up with the Kardashians so time went by super fast

7/7/11 – Happy 34th B-day Kuya!  It’s been a long journey and life wouldn’t be the same without you in my life.  I’m thankful for your unique care, love and support for the family.  Always appreciative of you.  Hope you had a wonderful b-day moving into the next age bracket!

Dude! Its been such a long time since I last posted. So much has been going on and I’ll try and sum it up:

November 2010:

- My godson Drew Magcase was born 11/11/10.  Super cute baby! http://drewmagcase.com/

- Ona and I went to Vegas for TJO and saw “O” which was awesome.  Ate AFRO.  Discovered the M and Green Valley Casinos which was also awesome.

December 2010:

- Mia had a baby Shower

- God Daughter Trinity had her 1st b-day on 12/18/10

January 2011:

- Flew out to Charlotte to meet my new boss from the UK.

- Went to Vegas again with Ona for his work

- Went to Vegas again to help Alex’s parent’s move. I partied with Liz and Bubba.  Got to meet his chick Cat.

- Stress over trying to sell the condo.

February 2011:

- Tet

- Mom & Bub Leave for the PI.

- Totally surprised by Ona for my b-day weekend which started out with dinner with the Magcase family at our place. then Saturday – Sunday we went to Carlsbad to this spa resort – i forgot the name of it? lol  but it was so nice! then on the way back up we stopped at the Loft with another surprise of having dinner with my friends LOL what a guy.  Then Monday we had dinner with my family at their house.

- 5 year anniversary with Bank of America

- sold the condo! F-YEAH!

March 2011:

- Tax levied brought the hammer down on us.

April 2011:

- My Godson Andrew turned 1 on 4/18/11

- Went to Cabo with Ona for a surprise b-day / anniversary trip.

- Ty joined soccer did well.

May 2011:

- I hate my boss she blows. Looking for a new job

- Jonas’ b-day bbq

- Glee Concert with the Fantas

- Got a new job / more money higher title = hell yeah I’m out of this crappy team!

- Nugget got really sick lots of vomiting / runs… also swallowed a raw hide whole! huge scare for us and pretty expensive DR visits.

June 2011:

- Started with my new team and permanently working from home! YES!

- Started doing Yoga to relax myself and prepare for family planning

- Ty graduated St. Elisabeth

- Jonas got gout for 3 weeks

- Chelle & Rocco’s b-day party in Irvine also got to see Che

- KT & Gort  got engaged!

July 2011:

- Confirmed able to get pregnant

- Going to get a consultation for Lasik on Saturday 7/9/11

- KB’s b-day is tomorrow.  We’re going to the parent’s house to have dinner. then Friday is his party at his house.

- I’ve been torn on going to Hawaii for Che’s wedding and i talked it over with Jonas and we came up with me going solo to represent for the both of us. Her bach is next weekend in SD.  Should be interesting. TMT is taking the train to SD and that will be a 1st.

Now that I’m somewhat caught up a lot has changed in the past 9 months.  Wow 9 months? lol its like a prego phase. I hope to keep this blog up again… documenting life is nice to look back at and see where I was in life.  I’m very humbled by what life has to offer me and the works of god’s plan.  I know whatever comes my way will be a result of everything happens for a reason. Taking it one day at a time.

Life is here and everyone should pump the breaks to enjoy it.

11/1/10 – Happy 27th B-day BUBBA!! after worked we rushed over to the Magcase house to have dinner at the house.  It was cool  great food as always.   There was this moment where Dett was trying to explain to me how a bed pan works since she’s a nurse… and I was trying to say “Is your…” but it came out as “IZ YOU?” Of course Stac totally started cracking up the moment those words left my mouth and the 3 of us were cracking up for like 15 mins straight.. I was literally crying from laughing so hard.  Freaken stac.. if you know who she laughs it doesn’t matter what she’s laughing at.. just the sound of her laughing makes me laugh…Speaking of Stac… she STILL hasn’t had her baby yet.I keep calling her like everyday asking if Drew is here yet? ahahaha. I’m sure she sick of me asking.

Work Week- Brad’s son was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes which means he will have to take insulin shots for the rest of his life.  Pretty sad.  He’s only 5 Year old.  So Brad was pretty much out this week.  We had all these deliverables to do and I totally stepped up and OWNED it! WHOOT WHOOT!  I feel really good about this week.  Also got a lot of recognition from the execs and other peers. OH YEAH.  It’s totally time to celebrate!

Also, I’ve been in this cleaning mood.  I re- did the office and closet so its more livable and more organized.  I can’t stand clutter.  It totally stresses me out.  I cleaned the whole house and I feel even more productive now that he house is clean.  I love it!

Last nite I saw the Practice… and it had a really moving episode about one of their own strongest Dr.’s who was assaulted… it was really an eye opener..  I mean I know it exists in our society and just seeing the character try to recover fromt he assult was really moving and sad.  It also showed some scenes of the actual assault which was really vivid.  It also showed how her friends, co-worker and fiance all dealt with trying o help her recover.  Very difficult situation to be in and the sad thing is the statistic is it happens to a woman every 3 minutes!  Every 3 Minutes!? That is soo bad. 

It made me think like what would I do if I were in that situation?  I’d rather die or at least go down fighting than let that happen to me.  I’m glad I know how to pop someones eye socket out.  I would hate to do that to someone but if need be.. I would man up and just do it.

So ladies – it doesn’t matter how much you work out or how much you lift you have to be smart in those situations. Calm yourself, tell yourself that you CAN do this… and get yourself out of that situation not matter what it takes b/c in the end it’s your life or his.

Thursday 10/28/10  – Had dinner with Peapod at Taste of India in Sherman Oaks.  So awesome to catch up with her.  A couple things we discovered ” just suck it up” and that we like the same vegetarian dishes!  It was definitely fun times.  I love catching up with her.

Saturday 10/30/10- Did a short 1 mile run in the AM.  Picked up our bib packet in LA and had lunch with Mo, Ty, And Ona t Hurry Curry.  Later on I had dinner with the Fanta’s at Cheesecake in Redondo.  It was really good catching up with all of them at the same time.  I really do miss them.  Our lives & priorities are shifting but I love how we still make time to reconnect with each other.  It just reinforces how strong  the friendship is.  I really don’t consider them as friends but more as family.  Our topics of conversations / interests have also devleoped as we matured through life’s crazy path.  I’m so very happy to be going through these challenges with such great sisters.

Sunday 10/31/10- Happy Halloween!  Today was the LA Cancer Challenge 5K.  I did not train at all for this and knew I was going to get smoked.  I did it with the Geraldez’s, Ty, &  the B Sisters.  Ty did very well at 25 mins.  I did 39 Mins.  Definitely worse than the dockweiler race.  I was kinda disappointed but I had no one to blame but myself.  I took it as a hard spoonful of humble and decided to train more for the turkey trot.  Ty and I are doing this one together as well.  I’m really happy he’s into running.  I just gotta try and keep up with Ty – yeah right.. in my dreams! ahahaha. After the race we decided to splurge at all you can eat Korean BBQ in the valley.  OMG overly stuffed!

Its been a while since I got back from VN.  I had the hardest time trying to get back on LA time.  I could not go to sleep at night.  that was the sucky part.  Ona would be off in la la land and i would jealous that i was still tossing and turning.  i think it took me like 5 days to get back on track. I’m definitely glad to be back.

Friday 10/15/10- went to Los Torros with Mia & Terrin.  It was so good.  I totally got full off the bean dip.  Mia is a hoot and I’ve realized that Jonas’ close friends are girls like me! ahahaha he sure knows how to pick em! Maple Syrup! LOL.

Saturday 10/16/10- had lunch with Anilyn, Mya, Julynn (sp?) , her son and her mom at Stonefire.  They flew in town for Belinda’s baby’s (Bella) baptism.  Mya is Ona’s god daughter and she’s super cute.  After that we went home to chill.  Napped a bit and then got ready to go to Oktoberfest.  We picked up Baks b/c he was like 5 miles away from it.  We got there and Chelle was already in a good spot in the line so we cut   The line was redonkulous!

Finally we got in and went straight for the food! ahahaha Im not really a fan of bratwurst… only b/c it just sounds nasty – “WORST” ya know? I got the polish dog.  Hey man go with what ya know right?  Plus Ona & Chelle were brave and got the Bratwurst.  Baks got like one of everything so that was awesome.   Ona was totally ranting about it on every bite ahahaha I’ve never heard him praise any food as much as that one.. so it must have been good. We all shared food and to my surprise the “Worst” was actually good!  The nachos were also bomb b/c they tasted just like 7-11 nachos which I LA LA LOVE!! Later one The Lontoks, KaRo, Beaver & Weenie arrived.  They went straight for the beer! ahahaha Well Robert got food.  He got the funnel cake and i nearly ate half of it! ahaha it was so good!  so i bought another for him and who ever else wanted to share.  I also bought the cheesy kettle popcorn which was also good!

The nite was seriously too funny. It was Jonas’ “B-day” ahahaha everybody kept cheers-ing him and he had to keep drinking… he finished 2 of those 32 oz mugs of beer… and if you know Ona.. he can be buzzed off 1 beer!  he was the highlight of the show… Just a big clown and cracking jokes left and right… we were totally cracking up.

We also saw some guy get cracked over the head with a beer mug!  it was crazy!  Ona and baks went to go break it up. along with other good Samaritans.  The security immediately came and broke it up. People were crazy there!  It was definitely a fun 1st experience.  The food was AWESOME!  The beer was aiite. lol but then again I’m not really a beer drinker.

Sunday 10/17/10 – Slept in.  Went to church and then went to visit Anne & Marlon at Anne’s Parents house.

Monday 10/18/10- happy B-day Mommy Triff!! After work went to the Magcase house to celebrate mom’s b-day.  Always great food and nice to see everyone.

Saturday – 10/23/10- went bowling with the magcase fam for mom’s b-day.  After we went to KB’s house to chill.  We also ran a 5K around his neighborhood and it was HILLY!  It took me 40 mins! Man it was difficult.  I gotta train for my 5 K this Sunday! ahahah im Ska-ruuuude! After that we jes chilled.  Stac made taco meat for whatever you wanted to make nachos, tacos, or burritos etc… it was good.  We watched the fight at KB’s and homeboy got knocked the FUUUUK out!  Poor guy!

Sunday – 10/24/10- went to church and the archbishop was there… pretty crazy.. it was totally packed. Ona not a happy camper with the crowd.  Spent our day running errands.  I was supposed to see my mom but it didn’t work out  – boo.

Monday 10/25/10- went to Hooters with BBH for the All You Can Eat.  I ate 20 wings and I could have eaten more.  Thanks go I didn’t b/c I was a hurt’n when I got home.  No bueno! Don’t think im gonna eat THAT many wings again in a while. lol.

woke up at 5:45am to a phone call. I was excited to get up b/c i knew i was ready to go home. showered again b/c thats my thing before i get on a plane.. not sure how i picked upi that habit but i always have to. anyway got ready and then we headed to chi trang’s new home. its still slowly being built.. actually just the minor details need to be compelted like the interior decor etc.. the actual frame and structure of the house is already complete. structure of the house is already built. its really nice and big. After that we had breakfast and chilled until it was time to go. said my goodbyes and went through the gate. now im here in Taipei awaiting for my last flight home. im ready!

Woke up around 9ish and got online to chat with ona.  My cousin Anh Thi was so sweet and brought me lunch up to my room.  Chi Trang is a bear and is still hybernating LOL.  today i think we’re going to get timmy and ona’s shirts and then possibly check out a museum… my dad and uncle want me to try a donut out here lol so i have to do that before i leave.

tomorrow im leaving.  im ready to go back home.  I think any longer ona and nugget will blow up into chaos lol! I miss them so much.  I cant wait to go back home.  I just want to go back to sleep and wake up to leave ahahaha.

finally got up to go out… we went to get donuts b/c my dad and uncle kept insiting that we try donuts here and tell them if its good.

Chi Trang and I went and it was pretty good.  the chocolate is richer here in VN.  the actual donut is a lil drier tho.  Also when we were there i saw a sign that said ” Donuts…. Makes Smarter” AHAHAHA freaken hilarious!  After that we went and got t shirts for ona and timmy. then we headed home.  the streets are hella crowded b/c some other streets are blocked off in preparation for the 1000 yr festival on sunday. its hotter today which makes me more tired easily.  Maybe b/c im fat. lol.  ehh im on a mission when i get back… operation get fit. ok well after my wingstop LOL.

chilled at home for the most part then went to eat an early dinner.  met up with chi trang’s friend from the UK and his cousin and his cousin’s gf.  the friend is vietnamese but raised in hungary.  he speaks english very well.after we ate we went to go by some shirts.  then we headed to this fruit festival which was super crowded.  I felt like it was new years in vegas on the strip or something.. it was rediculous.  after that we went to the city square ho gum.  kinda like our downtown …we went to this high rise and sat up top overlooking the city and river.. it was nice.  we had some drinks and chilled.  They were all chillin and chatting in vietnamese and i just zoned out.  I kinda felt like carrie in paris.  Thats when i knew i was ready to go home.  finally we called it a nite.  I was beat when i got back.  not sure why.. maybe bc it was hot?

showered and then talked to my dad & uncle via skype. also saw timmy ahaha he’s such a dork.  he had just woken up.

then chatted with ona for a bit and went to bed.

dude woke up around noon here LOL. chi trang and i are alike … we like to sleep in lol. it was awesome.  we woke up and went to get pho.  it was pretty good.  after that we went to this french bakery and got some pastries and drinks.  I got a vanilla latte on ice. it was super strong b/c they use expresso! very good. came back and ate the pastries.  She napped and i chatted online with Timmy and chelle.  its like 1am there for them.  Timmy took a nap from 5-10Pm so he wasn’t sleepy LOL what a guy!  chelle was up checking flight prices for Hawaii next year.  we also chatted about getting serious on our health.  we’re going to do aids walk in October.  I’m committing myself to 1 5K a month with Timmy and gotta run in between.   I need to get started on training for the races. not sure what we’re gonna do for the rest of the evening but I’m gonna chill. I tried to text on online but not sure if that worked. he’s prolly asleep now anyway since he gets up pretty early for work.

Ate spaghetti for dinner.  it was so good and it reminded me of how much i miss american food!  after dinner we went to see a movie – Grown Ups.  I had already seen it but i didn’t mind watching it again.  I love comedys.  came back home around midnite and showered.  then chatted with ona til about 2am ahahaha i wasnt sleepy.
